• Are you accepting new clients?

Yes. I am accepting new clients for in-person sessions and telehealth/virtual sessions.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

Appointments can be scheduled by completing the contact form on this webpage, reaching out by phone at (812) 653-0339, or sending an email.

  • Do you offer consultations prior to scheduling an appointment?

Yes. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations. Please reach out by phone call at (812) 653-0339 to arrange for this service.

  • How long does a therapy session last?

    Sessions are 50 minutes.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. I do accept HSA cards.

  • What are the advantages to NOT using insurance coverage to pay for therapy?

While I understand the desire to use insurance coverage, there are numerous advantages to not utilizing a third-party payer throughout the therapy process.  Clients are able to more freely discuss their concerns, meet at their chosen frequency, avoid a diagnosis (if desired), and avoid long wait times that are often experienced when trying to access providers who utilize insurance benefits.   Billing a third-party payer is a lengthy process that often takes away from client-provider time and limits personalized care.

While I do not accept insurance, I can provide clients with a receipt so that they can seek reimbursement from their insurance company.  This would be filed as an out-of-network claim with insurance.  Please note that this documentation would require assigning a diagnostic code.

  • How do you process payment?

Clients are required to keep a credit card on file and are expected to pay infull at the time of each session.  I do accept HSA cards.

  • What is the fee for a therapy session?

The fee is $80 per session.

  • How often do I need to meet for therapy?

The frequency of meeting is based on individual need.  This is typically discussed at the end of the first session.  When first starting therapy, I encourage clients to meet every 2 weeks. This allows clients to better track progress and note gains in treatment.  That being said, some clients choose to meet weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly.

  • Do you offer classes or seminars?

Yes.  I enjoy presenting mental health information to those in the workplace or general public. In the past, I have presented on topics of mental health wellness, coping strategies, and how to best support others struggling with mental health concerns.  To arrange for this service, please contact me directly for details and pricing.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

If needing to cancel a session, I request a 24-hour notice. If unable to provide a 24-hour notice, the client will be charged a $40 cancellation fee.  For no-shows, (in which the client does not notify of absence and fails to attend the session), he or she will be charged the full session fee.
